Le Coutureau has been thoughtfully restored and modernised to provide accommodation for up to 10 people plus a baby. It has been tastefully furnished with both new and antique furniture, creating a luxurious environment for extra-special holidays and breaks.

Sleeping

All beds have duvets and flat sheets. Linen and towels are provided within the cost however please bring outdoor pool towels.
A cot with bedding is also available.

The master bedroom (bedroom 1) is on the ground floor and has gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside. It has been furnished with traditional French furniture, comprising a double bed, wardrobe and a chest of drawers.

A staircase leads up to a second bedroom (bedroom 2) which has a sleigh double bed, huge wardrobe and bedside tables. The traditional exposed beams and sloping ceiling adds to the character of this bedroom.

Just across the landing is bedroom 3 which comprises one double bed, two single beds, dressing table, hanging rail and side tables. This bedroom has a sloping ceiling with exposed beams - and roof windows making it airy and bright.

Bedroom 4 is well equipped also with traditional French furniture, full hanging wardrobe, double bed and dressing table. This room also has a carry cot with fresh bedding if needed.

The property has three bathrooms. The bathroom upstairs comprises a luxurious, traditional roll top bath for that extra special soak, hand basin and WC. Bathroom two offers a power shower, hand basin and WC and can also be accessed from the barn when using the outdoor facilities and bathroom three has been designed specifically with wheelchairs in mind and includes a wide entrance shower, high toilet and basin with handles to accommodate.

Relaxing

The sun lounge with its own bar overlooks the swimming pool to one side and the children's play area on the other as well as having distant views over the surrounding vineyard and countryside.

This magnificent room has been furnished with new and old, and with an open fire, high beamed ceilings make the most wonderful area to relax. Also included is a DVD / CD-player, satellite TV and a selection of board games and movies have been provided to keep both young and old entertained.

Cooking and Dining

The kitchen is the heart of the house and has a terracotta tiled floor, exposed stone walls and impressive wooden beams. Whilst retaining traditional rustic charm, the kitchen is well equipped with a fridge-freezer, electric cooker with gas hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster and coffee machine. The kitchen also has its own smaller breakfast table.

The separate dining area boasts an enormous table which seats up to 10 and is just off the main kitchen. Matching cutlery and crockery for up to ten guests has been supplied.

Washing and Drying

The house has a separate laundry room which contains a washing machine, with drying and ironing facilities. It also has a separate sink perfect for those wet towels and costumes!

Outside

The swimming pool is accessed via double French doors in the summer sitting room. This private and enclosed area overlooks the pool and grounds and has been equipped with an extending patio table, ample chairs, and floodlit lighting everything you could possibly need for dining alfresco or for just sitting and admiring the glorious views of the surrounding Dordogne countryside.

Within the garden there are established fruit trees which the jams and chutneys are made from, bright colourful flower beds and grassed areas for playing games and relaxing.

There is a games room equipped with table tennis, darts and snooker which is perfect to keep the children busy, along with swings and seesaw outside.
